One available treatment option is called a vaso-vasectomy - a procedure in which the doctor removes the blockage to restore the continuity of the vas deferens, allowing sperm to flow from the testicles into the semen. A biopsy of the testicles can also be carried out to obtain sperm cells for IVF and ICSI.
